Do you guys find yourself revisiting the same panel layouts? One thing I've noticed is that the panel layouts really control the speed of the story and I am always afraid I'm getting the panels wrong. So I second guess myself and adjust and adjust and usually end up back where I was.Sometimes just to avoid the problem I will say page 5 is going to have a specific layout, or something.

I dunno, I'm just bored and this place is dead so lets all talk about panel layouts. whats your favorite?

So far I have just been using the 'standard' panel layout of two panels across, three down. Sometimes I will meld the two panels into one. I haven't been too adventurous in this lately.

there is a great book called Panel discussions that tackles this subject in depth , detail by using interviews by people like Will Eisner and Mike Magnoilia and examples.

Pick it up if you can It helped me when dealing with the issues of pace and timing.
