Okay, so I'm trying to sort out a shot for a panel. It's one of those standard guy standing on the roof of a building, looking down over the city, shots. The thing is, I can't seem to get the perspective to work out. I've tried 1 point, 2 point, and thought about 3 point, but could really visualize it. So I kind of cheated, and put it together in small form (about the size of a 3x5 card) here:

Anybody have suggestions on how to plan this thing? It's so standard, and yet it's making me crazy...

this is a quick and dirty sketch, but i think it might help...

when i get stuck on perspective issues, i tend to simplify and then take it from there. in this case, i made all the vertical lines truly vertical with no slant. i then made the main diagonals all parallel. i realize this kills the true notion of perspective, but it is a place to start. what i would do next if i were to finish this is take the diagonals and find a vanishing point out in the distance and bring a more realistic sense of depth to the image.

sorry this was quick, i hope it helps!
